Esfahan - The Tour Hotel - 10 Nov 1977. All these road grew were together at the same time. Apologies if I get same names incorrect but I think that they are, back row from the left; Lee (Rocky) Eccleston (CA172), Ross Crook (AL169), Trevor Steel(AL169), Chris (Kit) Carr (SC168), Graham (Vicar)Preiss (CA172), Dave (Clap)Yearley (AL169), Dave & Jane Rogers (free loading on AL169), Bruce Hillock (previously with Sundowners but then driving for Capricorn). Front row from the left, Eric (Ekka) Black (CA170), Frank & Trisha Lewis (may also have been free loading but on CA172), Sid Weddell (CA170), Peter Frazer (AL169), Jenny MacKinnon (ex London office staff member on AL169), Doug Battiste (Capricorn with Bruce Hallock). AL169 was heading to Kathmandu and by the looks of all the staff that were on board other than me, my wife and Jenny who were passengers it must have been used to position staff ready for the return season in 1978. In absentia are the late Peter (Hornby) Sole (who was in another room, he'd probably found somebody's train set) and Wayne (Tapole) Edwards who was in Tehran getting visas for SC168.

Graham Preiss WOW! Didn't even remember this event. I think this was Frank's last trip with Tish. Rocky, Clap and myself were all on the same coach with them. I don't remember us staying out in Kathmandu. I think most of us flew back to London, a bit of a saga in its self.

Chris Carr I flew back to London and did a ski trip the next day, then a head gasket two days later. Became very good at cylinderkopf discussions.
