Simon, Grant and Trish called in for 2 days. We spent time trying to figure out why you went to pick up the pax at the airport. We also covered thousands of miles recalling some of the trips we both did. They left here heading to the Birdsville races. It was good to catch up with them after 30 odd years.
Col, I can only think it was money or to check the talent out, equally important at the time.
I do remember you and I were working on your coach aircompressor around that time and maybe your coach was unservicable at that particular moment in time.
Keryl must have arrived later in the day or even the next day as I do remember seeing her legs pass your coach as we were finishing that repair job and being an inquisitive person I did inquire at the desk as to who was the owner of the nice legs and to my TOTAL AMAZEMENT it was an old girlfriend whom I had not seen or communicated with for over four years. She got as bigger shock as I did but it didn't take too much to "re-kindle" the flame, we met again in London at the end of TK 210 (think "The Pit") and again at the end of 1980 back in Australia and we haven't spoken since.
A new strut? Couriers are made of better stuff than that - a wee bit of perspiration, inspiration and it was all operational. Mind you turning the caravan around by the house when we arrived took a little more effort.
